Confirmation

Confirmation is sent immediately after booking and includes your meeting location, tour start time, and the best public transportation options. No additional documentation is required at check-in.

Cancellations / Dates changes

  • Cancellations made 24 hours or more before the scheduled tour start time are eligible for a full refund.
  • Guests may reschedule their tour up to 4 hours before the tour begins, subject to availability and only for a date where the same tour is already scheduled to operate.
  • Reschedule requests made within 4 hours of the tour start time, including last-minute phone calls or messages, cannot be accommodated. At that point, guides are already on-site and prepared to operate the tour. The tour is considered used and is non-refundable and non-reschedulable.
  • Tickets are fully transferable. If you are unable to attend, you may send someone in your place. Please provide them with the first and last name on the booking.

Custom & Private Tours

Custom and private tours may be canceled up to 24 hours in advance, minus the non-refundable deposit.

Gratuities for custom and private tours are added at the time of booking.

Weather

Tours run rain or shine. Please check the forecast and dress appropriately for the day. Comfortable walking shoes are strongly recommended.

Safety

Guests are responsible for their own safety and the safety of anyone in their care, including children. Please remain aware of your surroundings and follow your guide’s instructions at all times.

Gratuities

Gratuities are not included in the tour price for public tours and are always appreciated. Industry standards typically suggest 15 to 20 percent of the full tour price, at the guest’s discretion.

Diet Restrictions and Allergies

  • Vegetarian options are available. Please advise us at the time of booking and remind your guide at the start of the tour.
  • Guests with other dietary restrictions or food allergies are welcome to join the tour but should expect a more limited selection of tastings compared to other guests. While we do our best to accommodate, substitutions are not always possible.

​Pets

Only ADA-certified service animals are permitted on tour. Emotional support animals and pets are not allowed, in accordance with New York City health regulations.

Accessibility

Manhattan Food Tours involve walking on city sidewalks and standing for extended periods. Routes may include stairs, uneven pavement, curb crossings, and indoor spaces that are not fully wheelchair accessible.
